Fly fishing Rocky Mountain National Park and the Big Thompson River

Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding area offer an abundance of trout fishing opportunities. Whether you hike 10 miles to a secluded high mountain lake or drive to your favorite stream, you will be surrounded by rugged mountain scenery. It just doesn't get any better. Stocked rainbow trout and a natural brown trout population provide good fishing from May through September. Salmon eggs, various lures and worms work best during the spring runoff; flies are best during late July, August, and September.

Contains: Native Cutthroats, Rainbows, and Browns.
