Take either Carnation Road or Falcon Road to the foot trails. Parking is available at the trail heads. Please note that 4 wheel-drive vehicles are strongly recommended for the access roads to the foot trails. Access roads are inaccessible when wet. No motorized vehicles are permitted on the foot trails.
Take Carnation Road 7 miles to Peach Valley Road. From here, you can drive for 2.5 miles on an access road to a parking area at the trail head. Hike 4.5 miles down a constructed tail on a gradual slope to the river.
Take Carnation Road 7 miles to Peach Valley Road. Drive 2 miles south on Peach Valley Road to an access road leading to Duncan Trail. Take the access road for 2 miles and park at the trail head. Hike 1 mile down the steepest trail to the river, with the last 1/3 mile being the steepest section.
Take Falcon Road to Peach Valley Road (about 5 miles). From here, drive for 3.6 miles north to a parking area at the trail head. Hike 1 mile down an undeveloped steep trail to the river. The last 1/4 mile is the steepest section.
Take Carnation Road about 5 miles Peach Valley Road. Drive for 1.5 miles to park at the trail head. Hike 10 miles to the river. This trail is less trenuous than either the Duncan or Bobcat trails, with two short steep sections.
